When I was consulting and had a lot of time on my hands, Source got a lot of attention from me. Working for Microsoft is a very demanding job and through my efforts I’m getting specialized training and promotions, but if I’m to be a good husband and father, I have to overlook some projects, including DDO Source.

I know there needs to be more work done to the site, but to be honest, I’ve barely logged into DDO in the past 3+ months… I’d estimate I logged in twice and once was just to see if someone was online. I simply don’t have the time.

If someone is interested in helping update and maintain the site, I’m definately interested in speaking with you and if you are also interested in podcasting, I’ll talk to you as well. I just can’t do as much work as I used to. For this, I sincerely apologize. The site will never go away, but I can’t do what I once did.

Comment here if you’re willing and able to dedicate time keeping this site up to date. Proper credit will be given of course. I’ll record and edit podcasts if I have someone else that’s got up-to-date knowledge of the game.

So I’m downloading the ISOs from TechNet as I write this to get my server up and files restored tonight… hopefully… I think I’m gonna go to the local Ren Fest after getting my car serviced… and then I’m… wait… this isn’t my inside voice. Damn!

For reals tho, I hope to have this show uploading tomorrow, albeit a week late. We know T won’t just put all this work in to an event that was done pretty damn well and then use it once. We’ll see it again. Emy has the info to learn you what to do to be really efficient in the future runs.

Finally, there’s a Facebook like button on the sidebar… thought it’d be nifty to have, but only like 5 ppl like Source. I has a sad. If you send a friend request to me on Facebook, don’t just send the req… put in a note stating that you listen/read Source so I know who you are… I usually block blank requests… if you can deal with my personality on the shows and listen this long, you deserve to see my mom and sister making fun of me.

Here’s the skinny:

1. I need and am taking a break from podcasting in general and from heavily editing this website.
2. DDO Source will not go away, it’ll stay up as a reference for veteran and new players alike.
3. I will still record podcasts, but only when I feel there is a need for them. There’s pretty much nothing new happening, so what is there really to talk about?
4. I have plans for the site still, like videos and other tutorials, so things’ll happen, but not at the accelerated pace they were before.
5. I will still update things here as needed and brought to my attention. Please email or comment on the appropriate page with what info needs to go where and I’ll be done, usually within 48 hours.
6. I’m not quitting DDO. It’s a good stress relief for me and I have several friends there. My main, Dodika, is on her third life and is now a FvS. I may try for completionist… not sure. We’ll see.
